Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the Maintenance Department at Kaiser Permanente Campus Facilities. Responsibilities include, maintaining customer service expectations, budgeting, hiring/corrective actions/terminations, scheduling of staff in support of Regional facilities maintenance goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Performs hiring, evaluation and counseling of employees and provide input into discharge decisions. Schedule staff work assignments;coordinate orientation and training programs.
- Perform consistent quality assurance checks on staff preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Ensure customer base receives appropriate, responsive services from Facilities Maintenance.
- Collaborate with Planned Maintenance Project Managers on identification of building maintenance projects.
- Directly coordinate project work as agreed upon with planned maintenance Project Managers.
Secondary Functions:
- Develop and implement department policies/procedures and update existing policies and procedures. Ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
- Integrate and coordinate maintenance services with National Facilities Services, local administraton, Employee Health and Safety, and other organizational departments. Maintain productive relationships and collaborative working relationships with NFS, Admin, Strategic Sourcing, Dept. Managers, Employee Safety and building Safety Committees.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of regulatory requirements based on facility licensensing/accreditation and safety laws and standards. Develop, communicate and enforce safety rules. Perform routine audits of work areas to ensure safe work environment.
- Inform and participate in building commissioning process. Assume responsibility for ensuring all staff are appropriately trained in new building equipment and systems. Ensure documentation is received.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or minimum of 5 years experience in facilities maintenance, engineering or constrution management.
- Thorough knowledge of building automation systems, equipment maintenance procedures and maintenance program management.
- Knowledge of construction project management and processes.
- Experience with CMMS.
- Ability to supervisor in a complex environment and coordinate services in a cost effective customer centric environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.PC skills including word processing and Excell.
- Ability to trouble shoot equipment problems and assist staff in problem resolution.
- Ability to work with multiple AHJ's.
- 5 years experience in facilities maintenance, engineering or project construction with lead responsibilities.
- Required license, registration, certification or professional affiliation: LME
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in facilities maintenance, engineering or project construction with lead responsibilities in a healthcare environment.

Salary Range:
$73,540 - $100,660
