Overview
The Head of Digital IT - EMEA leads the development and deployment of IT strategy for the EMEA region. They work with the Global Digital Product Engineering group, EMEA IT Leadership team, EMEA Digital Council and EMEA business leaders to formulate approaches and agree priorities. They oversee guidelines, standards and process and ensure these deliver the consistency needed for J&J. They provide leadership across the EMEA digital team to develop and deploy initiatives that meet our EMEA digital business needs.
Job Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
CONNECT
- Develop deep insights into the needs of our customers, markets and communities.
- Cultivate external relationships and partnerships
- Be insight-driven to uncover unmet needs
- Forge internal collaboration across all levels of the enterprise
- Provide digital account management and relationship management, digital design, oversight of digital development, and quality assurance
- Partner with global teams and lead, establishment and implementation specific standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions across the digital ecosystem
- Develop, maintain and communicate technology goals to operations and technology teams
- Provide strategic vision, for continued business development, in key areas such as consistent process workflows, web and mobile site development, site analytics, content management and distribution
- Monitor industry trends and provide inputs into product and technology selections
SHAPE
- Drive innovation; anticipate and shape industry and market changes to advance health care globally.
- Translate insights into viable products and solutions that create value
- Challenge the status-quo; lead and adapt to change
- Take and manage risks
- Work closely with the Digital business teams to develop an understanding of marketing strategies and processes
- In line with global teams define, implement and maintain governance processes
- Maintain a strong understanding of the organisation's technical architecture
- Track and research industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies to better serve long-term business needs
- Lead meetings with senior members of our business organizations and digital brand marketing teams, ensure that they meet the stated objectives and stay on agenda
- Represent digital IT on EMEA digital council and EMEA Senior IT leadership team
People Management

Budget Management
- Manage departmental finances, capital planning, reporting on engineering progress and executing primary project initiatives
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required. PMI certification a plus.
- Strong experience working as a technology lead/expert in digital marketing or other commercial focused roles
- Demonstrated experience running large engagements with major companies or clients or equivalent experience
- Management of large, complex projects that meet with business requirements and were on schedule and budget
- Familiarity with various types of digital projects and associated interdependencies, including: web sites, online advertising, campaigns, kiosks, mobile, signage, brand, and consulting
- Experience with various digital/web/mobile technologies including analytics and dashboards, SEO/SEM, CMS (content management systems), campaign management, service integration, marketing database, etc.
- Knowledge of front end and back end web and mobile development technologies.
- Strong experience with SDLC methodology and quality assurance processes is required
- Prior experience in online marketing and/or advertising as well as user experience design is preferred
- Understanding of issues covering site architecture, user-interface and navigation is preferred
- Familiarity with web development technologies. Knowledge of software quality assurance process is desirable

- A high degree of Commercial experience and acumen.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills as evidenced by ability to develop presentations and speak to large audiences including senior level personnel
- Must be consumer centric, putting the consumer first in all considerations
