This job is designed to support franchisees in the Latin America & Caribbean region in meeting development targets in connection with opening of new restaurants as well as renovations by formulating and executing developments plans with franchisees. Such effort involves putting leading development plan efforts and providing overall development support to franchisees on market planning, site selection (real estate) and project management direction.

JOB SIZE:

Organization supported: Caribbean and Latin America Franchise Business Unit (+1,800 restaurants)

2 Billion in Sales, $100m operating profit. Languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese.

Three brands: Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell. 40 countries, 60+ franchise markets.

This position will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 50%+ travel.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Major job functions include:

a)Responsible forattaining planned site approvals and openings.This includes utilizing project management processes to develop andmaintain a pipeline of projects, track progress against milestones andperiodically communicate results.

b)Work withfranchisees to develop market plans and then ensure that ongoing development isaligned with these plans.

c)As needed,provide franchisees with training (i.e. market planning, site selection, tradezone analysis, construction budgeting and value engineering).

d)Provide planninganalysis to support the growth goals of the region and provide the foundationfor structuring development agreements.

e)Monitor and ensurecompliance of franchise development agreements.

f)Support LatinAmerica & Caribbean team as needed in planning, business reviews and otherprojects.



Workwith Latin America & Caribbean Development team to identify and shareregional and global practices to share with franchisees.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Franchise Development Manager reports to the CDO for Latin America & Caribbean.

The person in this position will also support and interact with other functions within the Latin America & Caribbean team (Operations, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D/QA, Human Resources, Design and Construction)

MBA graduate. Degree in Finance, Business, Real Estateor Engineering

7+ years experience in development/ retail

Fluent in English and Spanish (including writing);excellent communication skills.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and administrativeskills. Able to influence and providebusiness solutions. Strong negotiationskills.

Regional businessand cultural experience.
RealEstate work experience in the region preferable.
