The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure accurate accounting and reporting for Luxembourg legal entities and US Branches.

JOB SIZE:

This position reports to the Controller, Strategic International Companies (SIC), and is part of the 22 member YRI Control Team under the direction of the International Division Controller in Louisville, Kentucky. The SIC Team is responsible for the US GAAP and statutory accounting and reporting of all SIC entities including implementation and maintenance of tax and treasury transactions.

Yum Restaurants International includes all restaurant operations outside the United States, excluding Mainland China and India, which generate System Sales of ~$17 billion and operating profit of ~$700 million annually through more than 14,000 Company and Franchise restaurants.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Period Close Process ? 50%

? Preparation of period close US and Luxembourg GAAP JDE journal entries for 12 legal entities, including proper revaluation of ending balances based in local currency

? Preparation of period account reconciliations including timely resolution of reconciling differences

? Prepare and submit period reporting package to YRI Consolidations via FDM by predetermined due dates

? Prepare period reporting package in Euro and USD for Luxembourg Finance Manager including budget versus actual analysis

? Preparation of summary of foreign exchange income/expense by loan for hedge analysis

Quarterly Responsibilities ? 20%

? Complete quarterly hedge analysis including associated accounting entries, FAS 133 Assessment Memo, and 10Q/K footnote for External Reporting

? Prepare select SIC Controller deck pages including cause of change analysis on a quarterly basis

? Submission of Luxembourg balance sheet analysis and Q schedules to YRI Control on timely basis

Annual Responsibilities ? 20%

? Preparation of annual tax packages for submission to YUM International Tax

? Complete consolidation of legal entity management accounts to meet statutory requirements in Luxembourg, including translation to local currency, Lux GAAP, and associated eliminations

? Manage audit process with KPMG for 3 Luxembourg legal entities including providing supporting documents and coordinating follow up items.

? Assist with development of annual operating plan with detailed analysis for all Luxembourg entities

Other Responsibilities ? 10%

? Coordination with Treasury and Tax to ensure all Luxembourg cash repatriation transactions are properly accounted for, including statutory to US GAAP entries for CPEC yields

? Proactively identify and assist in implementing process changes that improve accuracy and efficiency

? Assist with special projects as needed

? Draft functional currency memos for new legal entities

Occasional international travel could be required ? not expected to exceed 2-3 weeks per year
