Job description
The candidate will be responsible for directing database professional and maintaining the Oracle database environment, and development of new capabilities for the Defense Manpower Data Centerâ??s Personnel Security and Assurance Systems.
This system is the system of record (clearances) for all of DoD, therefore great detail is required to ensure that system enhancements, changes, fixes and the like do not compromise this environment.
The candidate will need to possess a deep understanding of the Java/J2EE environment. A significant component of this position is the understanding of Java tools, monitoring, capacity management, performance management, and ability to understand the impacts of client change requests and how those requests impact the stability, performance of the current environment.
Ability to present alternative recommendations for the client to consider. DOD Position is located in Seaside, CA.
Some of our clients engagement do requirement up to 100% travel for an extended period of time. Consultants are required to be flexible with their ability to travel and cannot refuse project due to travel.
Candidates will be required to be available to travel as necessary to meet business requirements. This may include travel up to 100% of your work time.

- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in Java/J2EE
- At least 1 year experience in DoD Systems Engineering Processes
- At least 3 years experience in Solid Database SQL development experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Intermediate
Preferred
- At least 5 years experience in Java/J2EE
- At least 3 years experience in DoD Systems Engineering Processes
- At least 1 year experience in DMDC deployment environments
- At least 5 years experience in Solid Database SQL development experience
- Security clearance of Secret - Active
