In this role, you will be responsible for developing individual products and rates under the new health care reform regulations. Will gain cutting edge experience with exchanges and the new world of health reform prior to implementation Jan 1, 2014.
The ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES will be:
- Conducts quantitative assessments of risk relating to market premium rate in a post exchange, guarantee issue environment.
- Serve as an actuarial subject matter expert on individual health care reform for various leadership teams within Coventry.
- Develop exchange bids for Jan 1, 2014.
- Work with state and federal compliance agencies.
- Individual pricing and forecasting. Qualifications:
The ideal Senior Actuarial Analyst will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Associate, Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required.
- Significant (usually 5-7 years) experience in managed care finance or analyses.
- Knowledgeable of all federal and state laws and regulations, professional standards and current managed care practices.
- Knowledge of statistical and computer information systems.
