Coventry is currently seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst to work with our corporate vendor compliance team. Location dependent on skills and qualifications.
In the role as Regulatory Compliance Analyst you will assist with oversight of Coventry’s corporate vendor compliance program. This position will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the company’s compliance and ethics program components are satisfied through its vendor relationships, including ongoing monitoring and auditing, risk assessment, and training initiatives. This will include analysis of risk associated with new vendors, communication to key stakeholders, conducting ongoing vendor assessments, and ensuring regulatory and corporate training requirements are satisfied.
The ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES of the Regulatory Compliance Analyst will be:
- Maintains an awareness of corporate compliance and ethics practices, developments and trends, notably within a managed health care environment.
- Utilizes information management tools, such as surveys/questionnaires, metrics, reports, and interview questions to assist with ensuring appropriate data is gathered for further assessment.
- Assists with development of assessments to identify risk areas and effectively and strategically mitigate or eliminate such risks
- Conduct monitoring and auditing initiatives to assess proper oversight of vendor operations or regulatory requirements
- May conduct external on-site audits to assess compliance with contractually delegated functions and/or regulatory requirements.
- May develop audit reports to identify areas of noncompliance, propose recommendations and obtain responses and corrective action plans from functional areas.
- Contributes to development and provision of vendor specific training materials, monitors progress of training completion, and ensures deficiencies are properly accounted for, reported, and corrected.
- Prepares reports in accordance with analytical results.
- May review contracts with new and existing vendors and provide input on required provisions.
- Collaborate with business units and functional areas to ensure key vendor issues or risks are understood
- May work independently or as a part of a project team.
- Contributes to problem solving, process design and analytical support.
- Performs other duties as required.
The ideal Regulatory Compliance Analyst will possess the following:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (2-5 years) related experience required; vendor compliance experience a plus.
- Demonstrates solid analytical skills, self initiative and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis.
- Must demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Minimal travel may be requested
