Reporting to the Worldwide Vice President of Franchise Operations Development for Vision Care, the Director, New Product Introduction Operations Readiness and Integration, is a critical leadership position entrusted with the stewardship and accountability for all new product introductions and launches within the Vision Care Franchise as well as for developing and coaching a team that oversees all aspects of cost-efficient technology transfer, global launch and supply sustainability within the Vision Care product portfolio.

The Director, New Product Introduction Operations Readiness and Integration, will lead a team of New Product Introduction Leaders and Managers, with full accountability for global new product introduction for the Vision Care Franchise product portfolio. This will include the integration of all product introduction activities to ensure that all aspects of bringing a new product to commercialization are addressed within the Supply Chain. Partnering with R&D, the Medical Device and Diagnostics (MD&D) Supply Chain and the Franchise Operations Development (FOD) organization, this position will ensure that customer requirements are met. This position oversees supplier qualifications, Supply Chain readiness, site selection and technology transfer through global launch. This individual will drive coaching and development of their team and will build strong interdependent partnerships with the Project Management Office (PMO), the Director of FOD Engineering and other key stakeholders, and items such as capital, expenses and resources are managed through the launch of new products. The Director is accountable to ensure that new product projects meet milestones, targets and deliverable including risk mitigation and escalation. A core competency for this role will be an ability to lead the team to deliver continuous improvements and innovative approaches which will streamline new product launches.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required; a Bachelors Degree in a technical, scientific or engineering discipline is preferred; an advanced degree is preferred; a minimum of twelve (12) years of business experience is required; a minimum of five (5) years of business experience leading new product development and / or commercialization and launches is required; a minimum of eight (8) years of business experience partnering with R&D organizations and Supply Chain is required; demonstrated department leadership is required; demonstrated success managing product and / or process integrations is required; superior data analysis and statistical skills are required; experience working within the Medical Device industry is preferred; a working knowledge of FDA, ISO and BSI requirements is preferred; Six Sigma Belt certification is preferred; experience in R&D, NPI Supply Chain, and / or Operations is required; people management experience is required; demonstrated professional strengths in communication, leadership, coordination, collaboration, partnering, global thinking, strategic thinking, project management and process orientation is required. This position will require approximately 35% domestic and international travel and will be based in Jacksonville, Florida.
