Description

Trainee Territory Managers are assigned a geographical region and are responsible for maintaining and growing business in designated key accounts, using sound Key Account Management practices with full sales support back-up in field and at head office. Our Trainee Territory Manager will also be responsible for growth of new product innovations in line with forecast and using the Integrity Selling system. As part of an outstanding team, ENERGY Trainee Territory Managers perform beyond their own self-interest in order to achieve all business goals. You will initially join on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Customer relationships and people development are fundamental to our business, and therefore, will be a prime responsibility. In addition, you will be expected to treat your territory as if it is your own business maintaining key customers whilst developing strategies for new business.

Working closely with your Business Manager/Regional Sales Manager and the Sales Training Manager, you will be in a position to deliver outstanding value to our clinical and non-clinical customers and in turn transform patient care.

Main Responsibilities

- Maintenance of appropriate level of Information Technology skills
- Collaboration with others within franchise and across Johnson & Johnson
- Maintenance of customer database
- Operation within agreed budgets

Compliance/Health & Safety

- Proactively contribute to maintaining and improving a strong internal control environment e.g. understanding SOPs/Work Instructions and updating as necessary, performing SOX testing, identifying risks and proposing potential solutions etc"
- Compliance with J&J Records Retention rules and HCC/HCBI/IAPP requirements.
- In compliance with regulatory standards, ensure the reporting of all potentially adverse incidents within 24 hours and comply with timely complaint reporting, in accordance with specified procedures.
- Maintain thorough familiarity with your detailed personal Health & Safety responsibilities as described in Johnson & Johnson's Health & Safety policy.
- In particular, strong business support must be provided to the Marketing team, Specialists, Professional Education, Logistics, Sales Force Effectiveness and Customer Services team.
- Colleagues in other functions - Finance, Supply Chain, HR, IM, Operations.

Qualifications


Knowledge / Experience / Skills required

Essential

- The successful candidate will be confident, self-driven and highly competitive yet customer centric.
- An ability to effectively demonstrate products and present is required, as is suitability for spending a significant amount of your time in the operating theatre environment.
- The successful candidate will also have a strong affinity for working closely with others in a team and will show entrepreneurial behaviour and have the emotional maturity and competence to build good relationships based on trust and respect.
- Personal drive, commitment, organisational and business skills are key qualities required to deliver outstanding results within this growing business.
- You must also demonstrate excellent PC skills and have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages.
- You must also hold a full clean driving licence.

Ethical - in work approach, work within ethical guidelines, comply to Healthcare Compliance Guidelines.

Proactive - anticipates problems and shows initiative for problem-solving and generating new ideas, can manage own workload.

Trustworthy - able to deal with confidential information in an appropriate and sensitive way; does not divulge information out of department.

Planning Skills - ability to plan & execute workload effectively.

Desirable

- A degree in business or science discipline is highly desirable.
- Evidence of high achievements and/or awards will also be highly desirable and need not be academic or work related e.g. sports or other out of work interests.
- A capacity for sheer hard work, dedication and self-belief.
- Knowledge of the NHS structure
- Knowledge of Key Players/Influencers
- Commercial Awareness
- Experience in sales/medical sales

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK, there is no global relocation allowance with this position.
