Description

Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics provides professional diagnostic products to hospital laboratories, commercial clinical laboratories and blood donor centres. Its products include diagnostic reagents and instrument systems for clinical chemistry, immunodiagnostics, blood grouping and blood screening.

We are looking for 4 permanent Operation Technicians to join our Kit Assembly team in Pencoed due to continued growth. As part of the Operations team you will be required to carry out the routine manufacture and quality control of the range of immunodiagnostics products.

These roles will require either to work on back shift or 12 hour day shift pattern.

Duties & Responsibilities

- To ensure HSE requirements within their immediate work environment is adhered to.
- Report quality issues to supervisor.
- Operate production equipment or carry out manual operations in strict accordance with procedures.
- Carry out routine quality control tests.
- Maintain operational environments.
- Must look for ways of improving their immediate work environment and suggest these ways to line supervision.
- Ensure maintenance of production equipment is carried out to agreed schedules.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in improvement activities and shop floor work-flow planning.

Quality and Compliance Related Responsibilities

- Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with all regulations and laws governing business and quality operations (QSR/GMP, ISO, etc.).
- Responsible for ensuring staff and department compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.

Qualifications


Qualifications and Previous Experience

- GCSE level Maths and English
- For Grade B, 5 GCSE/O levels including Maths or relevant science, OR TEC certificate OR years relevant operational experience.
- Basic Maths and English essential.
- Basic Science background preferred
- Production Line or Laboratory work desirable
