The Worldwide Strategic Pricing Manager is responsible for establishing value-based pricing strategies inclusive of existing products, new product launches, global pricing policies and structures, and for implementing the appropriate metrics to monitor, with little direct supervision. In addition, the Worldwide Strategic Pricing Manager will run the Global Pricing Committee and liaise with the Regional Pricing teams to support the analyses and improvement of transactional pricing in an on-going basis at the regional level.
Implement value-based pricing process for global alignment of pricing strategies with regional customization to meet local needs.
Define global pricing guidelines, definitions, and methodologies and align with regions. Develop processes to ensure pricing practices align with local market reimbursement and government regulations. Actively lead the design of proposed pricing models across product franchises and supporting service offerings. Integrate value-based pricing processes into pre-launch product development process gates. In conjunction with Business Unit Leadership Teams (BULT's) recommend price & GP goals and targets for new product launches and base product portfolio. Work with regional product marketing organizations to create and define annual pricing strategies and tactics that support company BP objectives (eg. GP goals and product mix performance)
Assess & improve regional contract terms & conditions to maximize price & GP value. Design programs/promotions that align value-based pricing with market share growth objectives. Establish and run a Global Pricing Committee. Implement monitoring and reporting tools to create transparency around pricing on a regional and global basis. Monitor market price trends and value stream indicators as part of the annual environmental scanning process.
Formulate and present recommendations to senior management in areas of current product and new product value-based pricing strategy. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to senior management. Conduct all intelligence and information gathering activities using ethical and legal techniques. Provide monthly, quarterly and/or ad-hoc reports as needed. Manage and direct assignments with outside firms for additional support.

Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Pricing Strategy, Marketing, or Business Analytics or a related field is required. Pricing experience is highly preferred. Ability to work in a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration is needed. Experience in Emerging Markets, multiple regions is preferred. Experience working in an information research, market analysis or management consulting role is preferred. Healthcare industry experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to extract insights and provide in-depth analysis to develop strategies and to drive decision-making required. Knowledge of SAP or other reporting systems preferred. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively and work well across the organization, both domestically and internationally. People management experience preferred. Must be able to influence and impact others in the company and defending arguments and reaching consensus of opinion. Excellent listening, verbal and written presentation and communications skills are required.
