Global Supply Chain Planning Analyst-000008LH

Description

The Mentor Global SC Planning Analyst is responsible for the global consolidation of Demand from all regions, setting Hub Inventory targets and translating Demand and Inventory Targets into Production requirements to ensure targets for Service, Inventory, Forecast Accuracy and Supply attainment are met.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities (current duties and/or responsibilities which account for more than 50% of job)

Guide the Regional Demand Planner in conducting the Regional S&OP Demand Reviews with Regional Commercial Leaders to reach alignment on:

- Accurate unconstrained demand plans
- Demand scenarios
- Product portfolio plans
- Affiliate inventory and Consignment plans
- Metric improvement actions

Manage and own Inventory Levels for the 2 Regional hubs:

- Maintain inventory targets
- Make inventory projections
- Manage Lack, Excess and SLOB

With the MAKE and ExOps organization, prepare and conduct the S&OP Supply Review meeting to optimize customer service and global profitability:

- Develop supply plans
- Identify opportunities and risks
- Define strategic proposals

Prepare the Executive S&OP meeting to align on strategy proposals and improvement plans for business challenges:

- Business metrics and NPI readiness
- Marketing Intelligence and strategic proposals
- Prepare proposals to mitigate SC challenges and optimize profitability

Proactively communicate urgencies to the plants in order to satisfy and/or avoid backordered products, take appropriate action to optimise customer service levels;

Lead improvement / LEAN projects in order to achieve business objectives;

Prepare reports to support management, other departments and ad hoc requests;

Uphold the applicable clauses of the Johnson & Johnson Quality Manual relating to the requirements of the Planning functions and keeping work instruction up-to-date;

To perform in accordance with the LEAN, Credo and apply all HS&E requirements.

Qualifications


Education and/or Experience (minimum required for the position - also preferred):

- Bachelor degree preferably in Business, Finance, Logistics or Engineering is required. Master degree preferred;
- 4 years Relevant experience within Supply Chain / Manufacturing / Procurement;
- Demonstrated experience in an area of supply chain and / or project management;
- Basic knowledge of Process Excellence and / or LEAN concept.

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong analytical skills, Problem solving and decision making ability;
- Ability to work with large amounts of data (up to 2000 SKU's);
- Logical and process oriented and ability to spot process gaps;
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain concepts and basic knowledge of production is a must;
- Ability to work in teams - teamplayer.

Communication & influencing skills:

- Ability to communicate complex issues and solutions to senior management levels;
- Ability to negotiate / influence stakeholder on the basis of good analysis;
- Takes ownership & Self starter;
- Fluent in English; Knowledge of French or German is an asset.

Computer literacy:

- MS Excel Advanced knowledge;
- MS Access databases - Intermediate knowledge;
- Cognos impromptu - building and querying JDE/APS databases - Intermediate to advanced knowledge required OR beginner with an aptitude to become an advanced user (basic macros);
- ERP experience - basic knowledge is a must;
- MS power point and word - basic to intermediate skills.
