The Utilities Engineering & Design group provides an advanced level of technical support, engineering & design, planning, organizational leadership and communication skills required to deliver effective engineering solutions and quality engineering services to support utility and sustainability goals across the Integrated Supply Chain and all of MillerCoors.
Utilities Design & Equipment Engineer Responsibilities within MillerCoorsâ¦
The Utilities Design & Equipment Engineers envision, plan, schedule and lead utility design efforts including the resources of project teams, consultants, vendors, and contractors for assigned engineering projects. They develop technical expertise and core competencies to deliver engineering solutions while incorporating the latest technologies to attain industry leadership through innovation and optimization. They provide technical support for overall utilities operations and take a leading role in energy and water reduction initiatives in support of sustainability, safety and environmental efforts throughout the organization.
Utilities Engineering & Design Intern Responsibilities:
· Support Utility Design & Equipment Engineers across multiple projects with design reviews and equipment evaluations
· Lead the development of specific utility projects during the study and concept design stages
· Develop a cost estimating database for typical utility projects
· Gain general knowledge of all brewery utility systems including water, wastewater, ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, steam, CO2 and electricity
· Actively work to achieve the company sustainability goals by participating in specific brewery utility assessments to identify energy and water savings opportunities
· Assist in tracking progress and compiling monthly reports for Corporate Energy & Water usage and sustainability
· Some travel may be required (work around school schedule)
Intern Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student working on a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SharePoint sites and web-design preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the summer
