Supervises all day to day operations for Radiology departments in multiple sites, ensuring appropriate staffing, productivity standards, high quality service, & high member satisfaction through collaboration w/ Labor, MAPMG & Health Plan personnel.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates w/ Radiologists, Service Area Manager & Service Line Managers ensuring clinically standardized & quality focused care to all members.
- Ensures adherence to currently established departmental policies, procedures, & guidelines.
- Manages appointment access to comply w/ regional targets & develops action plans for areas not meeting those targets.
- Supervises & ensures day to day operational effectiveness of department.
- Supervises all staff w/in the department maintaining safe staffing levels w/in productivity standards & procedure guidelines.
- Ensures adherence to policies regarding accreditation standards from ACR, FDA/ MQSA, as well as state regulations for Maryland &, Virginia, &/or the District of Columbia.
- Performs internal departmental audits regularly to include management of CND, incomplete studies, etc.
- Rounds the department daily presenting results & follow up action plans when necessary.
- Supports the development, documentation, monitoring, training, & orienting of all department employees.
- Supports monitoring tools that were developed to assess quality & establish consistency throughout the department.
- Attends & supports the department in Center/ Cluster QI meetings.
- Supports the process & culture of continuous performance & quality improvement.
- Manages department operating budget (to include payroll, non payroll & agency), maintaining budget neutral or positive variances, outlining appropriate action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Maintains a positive & professional attitude w/ peers, patients, families/significant others, medical center staff, physicians, & visitors.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- 7 years clinical radiology experience in 1 modality required, but a second modality preferred.
- 5 years experience in a supervisor or lead role in radiology department.
- BS degree in radiological science or applicable field required or equivalent years of experience may be considered. - ARRT or equivalent certification required.
- Previous financial & performance management experience required.
- Knowledge of federal, state & local regulations required.
- Work 1 weekend per month required.
