Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science or related field with 3 years of relative experience in a Plant Breeding environment
- Extensive knowledge/experience of crop production, farming practices and farm equipment operation/repair
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours during peak seasons (including weekends)
- High level attention to detail and proper mindset to obtain quality results in a research environment
- Self motivated, demonstrated ability to take initiative in completing tasks and good decision making/problem solving skills are essential
- Must have effective communication skills both written and verbal along with team leadership skills that help to build morale and drive a continuous process
- Documented individual leadership skills including excellent organizational and record keeping skills
- Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and pesticide applicators license or ability to obtain each of them
- Ability to work individually or as part of a multi-disciplinary/multicultural research team in a fast paced environment is essential
