Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
· Ph.D. in genetics, plant breeding, genomics or related field.
· Practical experience in use of molecular markers for genetic mapping of trait loci.
· Knowledge and experience in experimental design, statistical analysis and relevant software applications.
· Knowledge and experience in methods of plant breeding, plant breeding theory, and Mendelian genetics.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex projects and effectively lead interdisciplinary teams to accomplish project goals.
Desired Skills/Experience:
· Experience in characterizing plants for biochemical, or disesase resistance traits.
· Experience in methods of molecular marker detection and bioinformatics.
· Research experience with vegetable crops.
