IBM Interactive Web (Java) Developer located in the Chicago area to participate in the design and development of highly interactive web sites for high profile projects. This position requires a well-rounded technical developer with back end java development experience including Java, WS-I Web Services, Spring Framework, etc. This position is a hands-on development role for a self-starter with excellent analysis and problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have experience in high profile interactive web development experience including HTML, Javascript, CSS, and jQuery.

When working with key stakeholders, the candidate should be able to articulate deeply technical concepts in a customer friendly and understandable way.

Clients are typically aligned with Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical, Financial Services (Banking/Insurance), Electronics, Telecommunications, Distribution and Media & Entertainment Industries.

New hires must live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 mi or less) of Chicago, IL.


 
Required

High School Diploma/GED
At least 2 years experience in HTML5/JavaScript/CSS development/jQuery
At least 1 year experience in Social media based platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter)
English: Basic knowledge


 
Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year experience core Java development
At least 3 years experience in HTML5/JavaScript/CSS development/jQuery
At least 2 years experience in Social media based platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter)
English : Fluent
