Job description
Researches, evaluates, and recommends new server management tools and technologies and works with Systems Engineers, Storage Engineers, Technical Architects, and other technical personnel on design and implementation of server systems. Provides proactive and reactive root cause analysis for all server-related identified / developing problems and issues and develops and implements recommendations for prevention recurrence. The selected individual will identify enterprise server requirements and trends and is responsible to develop alternative solutions to address needs. The VM Engineer creates documentation and procedures pertaining to server management to include current and future server architecture, standards and best practices, and COOP/DR scenarios and solutions.
Seeking either BS in Engineering or Comp Sc or Engineering coursework with expert level experience.
Twisted Wave Pair experience and Masterâ??s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science Certification(s) in VMware technology preferred.
Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 3 years experience in designing and managing VMWare implementations
- At least 1 year experience in Install, configure, rebuild, upgrade, patch, and maintain all server hardware and software
- At least 1 year experience in develop maint plans for all Windows and Linux/Secure Linux server platforms
- Security clearance of Secret - Active
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Certified in Certification in VMWare Technology
- English : Intermediate
