Role Description
COE Business Controls Assistant position is nonexempt. Team member will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and operational support for CSP-Federal client. The Business Controls Assistant will be expected to organize, prioritize and maintain work flow to meet client needs and requirements. They will utilize various hardware and software applications to successfully execute on administrative support and services. The Business Controls Assistant will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in handling communication and technical support and proper handling of client's business files/records.
Role Responsibilities
The Business Controls Assistant assists with business controls activities by supporting administrative and general office operations of the Compliance Officer and Procurement Leads. Assistant will be required to have the ability to generate reports from various IBM systems; manipulate, arrange and organize data in specified formats; review the data for accuracy and have a strong understanding of what the data represents, where it comes from and how to trouble-shoot errors in the reports. This includes identifying gaps and discrepancies; and maintaining, updating, and contributing to various database management systems.
The Business Controls assistant will perform compliance reviews of procurement documents such as, but not limited to, agreements and purchase orders in accordance with established policies and processes by using guides and checklists, will document results and follow-up on corrective actions from buyers. Presenting the results to upper management may be required. Additional duties and tasks assigned as required.
The Business Controls Assistant will be required to take the lead to optimize processes and to contribute to on-going process improvement activities; will work individually as well as part of a team; maintain a positive relationship with process owner and peers; and will be responsible for setting priorities within established procedures and objectives.
The Business Controls Assistant needs to be able to anticipate problems and proactively develop solutions and finds ways to overcome obstacles. They will need to be both a strategic and flexible thinker, making decisions that meet the needs of both immediate business issues and long-term strategy. They need to be able to confront ambiguity and uncertainty with a willingness to rethink assumptions, adopting new approaches and solutions in response to changing demands.

- Bachelor's Degree
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Fluent
Preferred
- At least 2 years experience in ⢠Proficient experience using Microsoft Excel
- At least 2 years experience in ⢠Power Point and other Microsoft Office Products
- At least 4 years experience in ⢠Strong communication and presentation skills
