We are recruiting an Senior Finance Analyst based at either our Kirkton, Livingston, Scotland office or Paris, France.

This role reports to the Finance manager and does not have any direct reports but will provide strong leadership and support to the J&J MISSA business, which has a turnover of $70M, and operating expenses of almost $20M. It has enjoyed double-digit profitable growth year-on-year.

J&J MISSA (Maghreb, Iran, and Sub-Saharan Africa) covers in excess of 50 markets, with a population of nearly a Billion people.

Part of the Medical Device & Diagnostic sector one of the three main sectors within Johnson & Johnson.

Operates within the Emerging Markets cluster within EMEA.

The role itself will provide support to not only help achieve business goals, but to deliver strong financial control over the entire P&L and relevant areas of the Balance Sheet and to provide financial and business support to the J&J MISSA team, to help achieve business and strategic goals, whilst maintaining strong financial control. To ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting of financial performance to local, regional, and corporate management.

Responsibilities:

Instil a culture of process improvement by challenging the status quo and delivering new processes and/or business solutions

Implement Business Intelligence solutions such as country / business unit scorecards, by identifying and deploying the most appropriate software solution

Ensure the delivery of financial monthly close & reporting in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with J&J's worldwide financial procedures.

Support the Finance Manager in analysing and reporting financial performance to local, EMEA, and Corporate Management in the U.S.

Provide strong analytical support and value-add management information, including co-ordination of Sales Forecasting, production of segmental P&L's, detailed analysis of Opex and profitability.

Support the Finance leadership team in delivering ongoing efficient and effective Business Plan and Forecasting cycles.

Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and support the preparation for internal/external audits.

Educate business partners on financial issues, concepts and ownership.

Qualifications


Recently qualified with 2-3 years post-qualification experience, with strong academic record

A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant business experience, with proven track record in Financial Accounting

Experience with corporate accounting systems (preferably SAP and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne v8.12)

Advanced spreadsheet skills are absolutely essential

Ability to adapt to a changing environment

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure

Strong Team Player who is motivated by team success

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Passion to make continuous process improvement

Self Starter - Pro-Active & Innovative

Excellent Analytical skills and business acumen

Proven ability to work with people at all management levels and of non-finance background
