Description

DePuy Mitek is the Sports Medicine business offering orthopaedic sports medicine products, soft tissue repair devices, joint movement solutions and minimally invasive and arthroscopic solutions.

The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for customer surgical skill training for new procedures and existing arthroscopy products and procedures. The Clinical Specialist will focus on Hip Arthroscopy and the most challenging procedures using the entire product line. The role will conduct hands-on surgical procedural training (Model and/or Cadaver) with customers (80% of time, 3 to 6 events per month). The role will provide on-site arthroscopy training using a simulated surgical environment to best duplicate live surgery. He/she will conduct local on-site labs; set up and break down National and Regional labs. This individual will attend and supervise technical support at national workshops (AANA, AAOS). He/she will teach Arthroscopy surgical techniques to physicians. The Clinical Specialist will support Society Education events and identify top accounts for on-site local labs. This person will train Sales representatives on more advanced procedural approaches when together in the field and at labs by demonstrating and communicating product knowledge and procedural expertise. He/she will work with Regional and Divisional Managers to prioritize field support and work with Sales Reps and surgeons to support clinical issues penetrate accounts. The Specialist will cover surgical cases during key evaluations as well as may assist in the planning of work and regional coverage for Associates. The role will provide direction and coaching to less experienced Clinical Specialists.

Qualifications


A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of related clinical experience is required. Orthopedic Operating Room experience and strong technical background in knee and shoulder arthroscopy education is preferred. Strong computer skills and digital learning experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. The ability to work in a team environment is required. This role will require heavy lifting at times. Must be willing and able to travel extensively, weekdays and weekends (up to 80% of the time).
