Janssen Inc., based in Toronto, Ontario, is currently recruiting for a 16 month Supply Chain Associate Intern. Start date is May 6, 2013.

Janssen Inc. products are sourced from Johnson & Johnson and 3rd party manufacturers around the world and distributed across Canada to wholesalers, pharmacies, hospitals and clinics, ultimately reaching patients. The Supply Chain Associate will provide analytical support to track customer demand and inventory levels, customer stock outs, and plan distribution strategies to improve supply chain performance.

Responsibilities:
Creating Department reports for wholesaler shipments and inventory.

Analysis related to distribution, market trends and other factors affecting demand and inventory.

Obtaining and ensuring integrity of wholesaler data.

Maintenance of our Customer and Pricing Master data files in SAP.

Participating in continuous improvement projects within the Supply Chain team.

50% Reporting and Analysis / 25% Project Work / 25% Customer &Pricing Master data (SAP)

Qualifications


Strong analytical ability and problem solving capabilities with the ability to work independently or in teams.

A sense of urgency to respond to issues, initiate improvements and manage multiple priorities in a timely, accurate and efficient manner is required.

Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and techniques: Forecasting / Scenario Planning / Inventory Planning / Seasonality / etc.

Ability to mine data to determine root causes of changes / emerging issues.

Must be able to present complex information and analysis in a clear and concise manner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal and external business partners.

Knowledge of SAP and the Pharmaceutical Industry is an asset.

French is an asset (not mandatory).
