Under direct supervision of the Distribution Supervisor, works within the facility/or assigned areas to maintain adequate supplies to support the area in the delivery of patient care using established Policy and Procedure to ensure acquisition is done in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Essential Functions:
- Inventory, pick, receive, inspect, store and distribute approved supplies according to established guidelines.
- Process returns and report picking errors within two (2) days.
- Obtain appropriate signatures per SOX requirements and within accordance with UCOA policy 1C (DOA).
- Perform recycling functions: process goods for recycling (batteries, toners, etc), process and prepare surplus property for ship outs and deliver inbound to customers.
- Fill Supply orders.
- Accurately interpret and fill customer orders requested via phone, fax, requisition or picklist.
- Access to medication rooms without escort of Pharmacy staff to perform inventory and replenishment responsibilities.
- Prepare and enter routine replenishment orders on line
- Including inventory maintenance (RAP), reprinting and updating inventory books, updating voicemail(s) daily, respond to emails and maintenance of email account, filing according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor in support of customers or department operations.
- Treats members, customers and co-workers in a respectful, courteous manner both in person and via phone or radio.
- Follows appropriate policies and procedures for use of time in work environment, including attendance expectations
- Returns promptly from breaks scheduled in concert with co-workers to provide appropriate coverage of department
- Consistently on time and ready to work at the start of the scheduled shift
- Promptly reports any safety issues and/or employee accidents immediately to the supervisor
- Identifies self by wearing name badge and verbally introducing themselves if entering an unfamiliar area.
- Practices situational awareness for safety observation and universal precautions, i.e., uses PPE's appropriately.
- Understands that all workstations are shared property of KPNW and need to be kept clear of clutter for health and safety issues, and maintained per department standards.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- One (1) year of equivalent Supply Chain experience required, two (2) years preferred.
- One (1) year of customer service experience required, two (2) years preferred.
- One (1) year of materials handling experience preferred.
- Demonstrated customer-focused service skills.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math computation.
- Able to maintain a mature problem solving attitude while dealing with interpersonal conflict, hazardous conditions, hostility or time demands.
- Able to lift 50-65 pounds routinely and carry distances of 100 ft or less.
- Able to push a cart weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Must be able to life/stoop/bend repeatedly during an eight (8) hour shift.
- Record of good attendance.
- Able to be flexible with various shifts/schedules.
- Demonstrated PC Proficiency including data entry, email, spreadsheets and word documents.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to negotiate with multiple levels of staff.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente System preferred.
- Medical supply familiarity preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital supply distribution preferred.
- Knowledge of safety policy and procedure preferred.
