Job description

The Public Sector BAO Economic Modeling Team Lead provides hands-on technical (SAS and Financial Predictive Modeling) leadership and direction to the team, understands mortgage risk requirements and translates them into process/technical solutions (Predictive Models/Queries), as well as manages client relationships within the context of the individual role throughout the entire lifecycle of consulting.

Candidates must be willing and able to qualify and pass security, the basic clearance processes required by most federal agencies.

Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metropolitan area or at an IBM client site. Generally projects and clients are within the Metro area and require very limited travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less than 1 year. Consultants are required to be flexible with their ability to travel and cannot refuse projects due to travel.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in Excel reporting and interface design through the use of VBA macros to automate data extraction and modeling tasks.
  • At least 3 years experience in interfacing Excel, Access, and SAS through VBA
  • At least 3 years experience in using Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS BI tools to do full model development cycle including data extraction, data cleansing and preparation, as well as OLAP cube integration and analysis
  • At least 3 years experience in SAS macro language and SQL
  • At least 3 years experience in implementation, operations, and maintenance of financial or econometric models preferably in the Housing (preferably multi-family) industry
  • At least 3 years experience in housing industry and dealing with loan performance modeling
  • Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • English: Basic knowledge


Preferred
  • Doctorate Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in Excel reporting and interface design through the use of VBA macros to automate data extraction and modeling tasks.
  • At least 5 years experience in interfacing Excel, Access, and SAS through VBA
  • At least 5 years experience in using Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS BI tools to do full model development cycle including data extraction, data cleansing and preparation, as well as OLAP cube integration and analysis
  • At least 5 years experience in SAS macro language and SQL
  • At least 5 years experience in implementation, operations, and maintenance of financial or econometric models preferably in the Housing (preferably multi-family) industry
  • At least 5 years experience in housing industry and dealing with loan performance modeling
  • At least 1 year experience in Experience with implementation of stochastic inputs through SAS macros to conduct multi-path simulations, sensitivity/stress testing and what-if scenarios to assess risk on housing financial data
  • At least 1 year experience in  Federal Credit Reform
  • English : Intermediate
