GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for managing assigned IT business analysis and project management staff. Accountable for organizing, directing, and monitoring staff work assignments, training and coaching, and the completion of administrative requirements. Responsible for the determination of scope of work as well as leadership in
facilitating information gathering, structured documentation, and presentation of findings.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the analysis of client requirements in project areas such as: IT testing and product acceptance, new business operating models with innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality, and operational readiness assessment andothers.
- Oversees the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements. Reviews appropriate documentation.
- Oversees the development of analysis, evaluation of existing applications products, and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.
- Develops comprehensive business cases with cost, service, benefit dimensions of proposed IT projects that are used at executive levels for funding and scope decisions.
- Manages cross-functional task forces to identify and document functional requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specifications.
- Oversees administrative requirements are completed in an accurate and timely manner (e.g., time reporting, status reporting, etc.).
- Provides input into the development of the department budget. Manages the budget and controls expenses while meeting service requirements.
- Recruits, develops, and motivates staff. Initiates and communicates a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (7-10 years) experience in information technology and business/industry including leadership experience managing projects and/or project portfolios.
- Previous (1-3 years) supervisory or project lead experience required.
- Project Management certification preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools required.
- Excellent skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).
- Experience in the health care business and care delivery processes strongly preferred. Knowledge of sales, case installation and renewal processes a plus.
