We are currently looking for a Regional Business Manager to join and play a key part to this success and to drive growth of the Ethicon Surgical Care (ETHICON Products, Ethicon Gynecare and EES Endo-Mechanical) business within the South London region. Reporting to the Sales Director, the RBM will demonstrate successful leadership through effective recruitment, development, coaching and performance management of sales representatives. The RBM will also collaborate with other members of the management team to ensure regional strategy is aligned to national business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver business results through CREDO based leadership of the regional sales team
- Build and maintain a highly effective sales team environment that encourages performance excellence, participation, personal and organisational growth
- Coach team members to achieve sales excellence through appropriate use of sales force effectiveness methodology
- Recruit, motivate and develop team members to attract and retain top talent
- Drive excellent customer relationship management
- Manage KOL customer relationships
- Deploy resources within the region to deliver regional commitments to national business plan, and to respond to changing market conditions
- Collaborate with sales management and senior leadership team in development of strategic and tactical initiatives
Specific Activities:
- Conduct regular field sales visit and follow up as appropriate
- Provide ongoing feedback to coach and develop direct reports
- Implement and drive the Integrated Sales Process with all direct reports in the region - utilising appropriate tools and processes (e.g. Integrity Selling)
- Agree plans with direct reports and ensure successful execution
- Implement commercial strategy in collaboration with the Commercial team
- Execute agreed marketing strategy in line with national business plan
- Feedback relevant market and customer information through line manager and appropriate marketing management
- Work with all departments to ensure a high level of customer service to clients, proactively feeding back opportunities for improvement
- Ensure sales representatives are competent in product and procedure knowledge
- Champion compliance and asset management across the region. e.g. correct application of complaints procedure, Safe Fleet, expenses, customer complaints and business conduct
- Timely and accurate reporting - utilising appropriate templates
Qualifications
Experience:
- A track record of sales management success, ideally in a healthcare environment
- Extensive knowledge of the NHS and hospital environment as well as the medical devices industry
- A high level of energy and urgency to deliver sales results and drive yourself and others
- Ability to coach, lead and inspire a regional team to business results
- Good business understanding and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication, networking and relationship building skills
- Adept at problem solving, supported by analytical abilities, to make fact based decisions
- Qualified to degree level (business related qualification advantageous)
