The Large Group Performance Measurement Senior Consultant is accountable for the design & execution of regionally-focused, large-scale & high-profile analytic & strategic consulting engagements. Provide comprehensive & longitudinal environmental assessments for key departmental, regional & program wide deliverables to inform & drive line of business performance.
Essential Functions:
- Work w/ LOB Strategy Consultant partners to design & develop external & internal performance metrics reporting templates, calendars, & analytics in support of environmental scans & other performance-driven analyses
- Work w/ Performance Informatics & Analytics Team Lead & the Market Intelligence & Modeling Team Lead to produce the desired data metrics, analytic tools, reporting templates, calendars, & analytics in support of environmental scans & other performance-driven analyses
- Compile comprehensive environmental scans & other performance-driven analyses to determine strategic implications of internal performance & external market drivers
- Provide consulting expertise & leadership to support LOB & regional strategic planning, business cases, & other
- Design & direct research into performance-related issues, including partnering w/ Strategy Consultants as well as Performance Informatics & Analytics & Market & Modeling Analytics Team Leads to design, populate & track segmentation & strategy-related analyses & tactics
- Work w/ Market & Modeling Analytics Team Lead & the Market & Competitive Intelligence Consultant to design & direct research into external market-related issues to provide context for line of business performance, and, together w/ Strategy Consultant partners, interpret results to inform line of business strategy & tactics
- Maintains current information & knowledge of all applicable Kaiser policies, local, state & federal laws & regulations, & accreditation standards
- Maintains & supports a culture of compliance, ethics & integrity
- Maintains knowledge of policies & procedures & performs in accordance w/ the Principles of Responsibilities & applicable regulatory requirements, external laws & accreditation standards
- Appropriately reports observed fraud or abuse
- In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors & principles defined by the KP Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives
- Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, & to purchasers, contracted providers & vendors
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in health care consulting
- Know & apply best practice consulting techniques including various market research techniques, analytical & prioritization processes
- Proven leadership in the design & execution of large-scale projects
- Excellent influencing & partnership skills required
- Solid understanding of the health care & managed care industries (including trends & legislative issues), business, sales & marketing techniques, & rating methods
- Advanced knowledge of managed care/indemnity quantitative analytical methods & proven consultant techniques in market assessment, prioritization exercises, business case development & program assessment
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, marketing, health policy or related area
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use the project management, word processing/publishing & presentation software such as MS Word, Adobe Writer, MS Publisher, MS Powerpoint, as well as learn new software applications as needed
- Strong strategic thinking skills
- Ability to synthesize data, uncover inherent trends in the data, make recommendations about associated implications to business performance, & communicate findings & recommendations to a variety of audiences
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills, verbal & written
- Strong organizational & analytical skills, attention to detail & intrinsic editorial expertise

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred
- PMP or similar project management certification a plus
