Includes evaluation, acquisition, installation, integration, testing and performance monitoring of printing systems software products and applications. Also includes systems analysis/programming, software programming (microcomputers), systems development and implementation and ongoing support.

Essential Functions:
- Participates in product testing process.
- Assists in the evaluation of technology, and documents findings.
- Performs problem determination and resolution following established KP-IT methods and standards.
- Installs recommended fixes independently.
- Escalates unresolved problems to senior staff.
- Works with clients and vendors, as necessary, to achieve timely problem resolution.
- Develops logic; modifies, installs, tests and debugs software packages.
- Utilities new releases and basic customization for the operating environment.
- Works with clients and vendors to achieve timely software installation and maintenance.
- Maintains inventory records of software.
- Assists in compliance of installation and quality standards.
- Assists with change management.
- Develops and modifies software and scripts to support required functionality.
- Installs and relocates hardware platforms. Insures compliance with installation and quality standards.
- Maintains inventory records of equipment and installation details.
- Directs Associates and vendors in performing installation tasks.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in systems analysis/programming, software programming, systems development and implementation and ongoing support.
- Knowledgeofapplication/product development life-cycle, including requirements analysis, specification, build, QA, documentation, training, and implementation into a production environment.
- Experience across multiple platform technologies such as Unix, Wintel, and mainframe with a strong emphasis in open systems.
- Working knowledge of delivery protocols such as LPR/LPD, SMB, IPP, FTP, etc.
- Experienced with multiple operating systems such as Z/Os, AIX, & Windows
- Experience dealing with user problems, ability to interface with users and understand their problem
- Remedy or similar - problem management and escalation
- Analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Written communication skills, capable of writing clear and detailed engineering procedures.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA and technical requirements for meeting these standards.

Preferred qualifications
- Experience with output & print technologies.
- Knowledge & experience with output products such as document composition, output management, printing technologies, and driver management tools
- Vendor management experience (contact, escalations, and support)
