Job description

The Data Storage Architect will develop and lead the optimization of TDMF data migration and replication is support of large-scale enterprise projects. This position will require expert knowledge in hardware/software consolidation as well as expert knowledge in the development, design, and implementation of TDMF architectures to support the migration and replication of data in support of consolidation solutions. The Data Storage Architect will be required to develop TDMF software and hardware configuration and architecture recommendations based on a cost of ownership model that is appropriate for each client. This will include the analysis and documentation of TDMF performance characteristics as it relations to network configurations, application inter-process communications, messaging, and middleware on various hardware platforms. In this role an individual will be expected to analyze existing server, network configurations, and data change rates to architect new data migration and replication solutions using TDMF to minimize cost and optimize performance to meet client change windows. Experience in application and Data Center migration projects having multi Terabyte data migrations on Windows, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux. The design and implementation of data migration and replication solutions using TDMF. Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Experienced resources in storage migration tools, techniques and methodologies capable of designing storage architectural solutions in a complex environment. Experience in the Virtualization solutions/administration area. Virtual Datacenter standards and configurations. Experience with VMWare Converter Platespin or Double-take host migration tools. Outstanding analytical skills (e.g. must be able to analyze unique customer environments and suggest appropriate migration approaches

Readiness to travel up to 100%; typically traveling 5 days a week, home on weekends

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in Understanding of TADDM architecture and/or data collection operations.
  • At least 2 years experience in Experience in utilization capturing, application affitinities, Network firewalls, and subnets; Unix System Administration; Windows System Administration; Ability to import/export Data using MS Access
  • At least 4 years experience in Negotiation and Customer Relations
  • At least 3 years experience in Team Building and Leadership
  • Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Basic knowledge
