Job description

The Retail Associate Partner is responsible for successful selling and delivery of retail, point of sales, or omni channel solutions. This individual will also assist in the growth and development of the IBM retail practice within Business Analytics & Optimization (BAO) and maintain deal focused relationships with clients and partners to scope, propose, close, and deliver BAO projects. This role will participate in pre-sales activities, assessments, and the delivery of the solution and work in conjunction with the IBM Software teams.

The candidate must be familiar with the full breath of Business Analytics and Optimization including Enterprise Information Management, Business Intelligence and Performance Management (Reporting), Content Management (Big Data) and Analytics from those environments.

Other responsibilities include: business case development, project and program management, business development, proposal writing and management, track record of sales of retail solutions and delivery focus in recent 5 years, large complex consulting. staff development and client management experience at VP and C-level, hands-on development deliverables defined by formal structured methodology.

It is also expected that newly hired resources into the Global Business Services U.S. practice live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 miles) of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Hartford, CT; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; New York City, NY and surrounding area; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; and Washington, DC.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in large DW sales and delivery, with a focus on Operations, Sales and Marketing Functions
  • At least 5 years experience in Retail data sources
  • At least 5 years experience in project management
  • At least 5 years experience in Consumer Products (Brand Management, Data Provisioning, Category Management or Consumer Insights)
  • At least 5 years experience in consulting (Major Account Strategy and Tactical consulting)
  • At least 5 years experience in Syndicated POS data
  • At least 5 years experience in the ability to articulate best practices in Assortment, Pricing, Category Management
  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Fluent


Preferred
  • Master's Degree
