is a worldwide leading producer and supplier of medical products. The company headquarters is located in Santa Barbara, California (USA). Mentor Medical Systems develops and produces high quality products which are used for reconstruction and augmentation. For our site in Leiden we are searching for an intern Process Excellence (Being student is required)

Department Description:

The Process Excellence Department is responsible for implementing business improvement initiatives for manufacturing lines. It defines opportunities, analyzes data with cross functional partners and implements improvements. Improvement initiatives are led by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams that deliver tangible business results through the application of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles, methodologies and tools. The Process Excellence Intern is responsible to support and drive projects at the site.

Position (internship) description:

Responsible for implementing and sustaining business improvement initiatives for manufacturing lines and other departments through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen and 6's.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborates and partners with stakeholders across multiple functions to develop and execute continuous improvement strategies.
- Is responsible for driving associates engagement and for drive continuous improvement methodologies through coaching and mentoring at all levels.
- Facilitates Process Excellence trainings, certifications, business case definitions and results presentations; as required.
- Complies with J&J safety and Quality compliance requirements and safe working conditions and practices in the department.
- Monitor performance and ensure successful implementation in controlled over time.
- Update dashboard on a monthly basis.
- Demonstrates the ability to work cross-functionally and optimizes resources to meet/exceed production performance on quality, cost, delivery and budget.

Qualifications


- University/Bachelor level (A minimum of an associate degree is preferred)
- Generally requires 0-2 years related experience
- Do you follow an Industrial Engineering (Technische Bedrijfskunde) related education at university or bachelor level? Are you interactive, pro active, resultdriven and interested in Medical Devices? Then this internship is perfect for you!
