Responsible for managing key suppliers through the development, negotiation, monitoring and enforcement of contracts and Service Level Agreements to ensure expected supply chain and project objectives are realized. Lead and execute complex cross-functional, cross-affiliate and/or global supply chain product related projects, including new product launch, line-extensions and site transfers.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management & Process Excellence

Lead cross-functional and cross-affiliate operations teams to support supplier and product related projects including but not limited to new product introductions, new strengths/skus/indications, manufacturing/packaging/storage site transfers.

Represent Supply Chain &Operations on the Janssen Canada Core Launch teams.

Key liaison with the Global New Products (Operations) Teams.

Perform risk/benefit analysis and present information to support recommendation (s).

Develop and execute speed to market initiatives to support new product introductions

Lead service level and/or product issue mediation and resolution.

Represent Janssen Canada on Global Supply Chain initiatives and/or projects.

2. Manage and build relationships and collaborate with key suppliers and business partners:

Develop strategies to manage suppliers and projects that will drive greater efficiencies, improve outcomes and reduce costs.

Monitor the internal/external environment for changes and trends and assess the impact on projects and suppliers.

Utilize best practices, benchmarking and a risk/benefit approach to achieve or exceed organizational and corporate commitments.

Negotiate contracts and Service Level Agreements; monitoring to ensure adherence and compliance.

3. Departmental Objectives and People Management:

Provide leadership within the Supply Chain Planning department, providing input into the Strategic Planning process and the establishment of annual goals and objectives.

Coach, mentor or develop members of the Supply Chain Planning team.

Lead cross-functional and cross-affiliate operations teams providing team member performance feedback to reporting manager.

Qualifications


Minimum of 8 - 10 years progressive supply chain experience preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with a combination of the following experience: Supply Chain Planning, Package Development, Distribution, Project Management

Undergraduate degree required (Science or Business preferred)

Supply Chain Certification (ex. APICS/CSCP) is an asset

Sound knowledge of regulations and related processes

Technical pharmaceutical processes related to manufacturing, package development and distribution

Understanding of key business partner processes and requirements related to Supply Chain projects, Regulatory, Quality, Market Access and Marketing

Inventory planning and forecasting processes

Strong financial and analytical skills coupled with business acumen

Proven ability to lead and work collaboratively in both a cross-functional and global team environment building strong interdependent relationships

Strong negotiating and consensus building skills

Project Management methodology and tools - MS Project, MS Office, SharePoint

Strong systems background and experience using SAP& Data Warehouse

Use of Process Excellence methodology and tools to drive process efficiency
