Description

McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNeil-PPC, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager, Business Improvement, located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, Mylanta and ROLAIDS® antacid products, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.

The Senior Manager, Business Improvement is an internal consultant and change agent responsible for leading process improvement initiatives and delivering improved business results across the McNeil OTC supply chain. Working with key business partners across the organization, to include Quality, Compliance, Consent Decree, Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Enterprise Project Management, Planning, and Procurement, the Business Improvement Manager will lead, coach and support teams in improving key processes through the use of Process Excellence methodologies to drive superior performance in compliance, quality, reliability and customer service.

Working closely with the McNeil OTC Supply Chain Process Excellence Director, Process Excellence / Zero Defect leaders at our manufacturing sites, and key stakeholders across the organization, the candidate will support the development, deployment and management of the Process Excellence continuous improvement strategy for the entire McNeil OTC Supply Chain. The candidate will support the development, reporting and ongoing management reviews of the OTC Supply Chain Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM). The candidate will work with business leaders to identify and prioritize potential process improvement opportunities.

The Business Improvement Manager will partner with key stakeholders to transform the culture by embedding a continuous improvement mindset and best in class process improvement capability through all levels of the organization. The candidate will build organizational capability in supported business areas through the deployment of Process Excellence improvement methodologies (Lean Thinking, Six Sigma, Design Excellence, Zero Defect), coaching, leading, and mentoring project teams, and supporting the delivery of Process Excellence training.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A focused degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Science, Operations Management or related field is preferred; an advanced degree is a strong plus. A minimum of 8 years of business experience is required. Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and / or Consumer Healthcare experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Product Development, or Process Excellence is strongly preferred. Manufacturing Plant and Strategic Planning experience a strong plus. The candidate should be a driven, results-oriented leader with excellent communication, analytical, change management and presentation skills. Experience in developing, deploying, and leading Six Sigma, Lean, Design Excellence and/or Zero Defect programs strongly preferred. A minimum of a Black Belt certification is required; Master Black Belt certification is a strong plus. Successful experience leading and working with cross-functional teams required. Ability to coach and mentor team members in Process Excellence tools and techniques is required. The successful candidate must be able to rapidly gain credibility across functions and levels in a dynamic and fluid environment and have a demonstrated ability to work independently and execute multiple projects concurrently. Located in Fort Washington, PA and may require to 30% domestic and international travel.
