  • The NA I – Dual Skilled position is cross trained and provides two of the functions below (with one being a CNA I) at least 25% of the time.  The NA I – Multi-Skilled position is cross trained and provides at least three of the functions below (with one being a CNA I) at least 25% of the time.

    NA – I Summary and Essential Accountabilities:Under the direction of the licensed nurse, performs basic nursing care and personal care activities such as taking vital signs, assisting with admission and discharge of patients, and assisting with personal hygiene and meals for patients.

    Monitor Technician Role Summary and Essential Accountabilities: Observes telemetry monitors continuously, interprets and documents rhythm tracings and maintains telemetry equipment and supplies.

    EKG Technician Role Summary and Essential Accountabilities:Aids physicians in correctly diagnosing cardiac problems by performing electrocardiograms as directed according to established standards and practices.  Supports departmental operations by performing all work pertinent to the EKG Department.

    Phlebotomist I Role Summary and Essential Accountabilities: Represents the hospital and department by serving as an interface between the client (patient, physicians, nursing, etc.) and the laboratory technical areas. Performs a variety of venipuncture techniques involved in the collection of blood specimens from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

    Health Unit Coordinator Role Summary and Essential Accountabilities: Gathers, collects and disseminates information in a nursing unit.

    Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an EKG course may be required for some Units; will train upon hire.

    Preferred Education: None

    Required License: Must have and maintain current listing with Division of Facility Services as NA-I.

    Preferred License: None

    Required Experience: Previous experience in health care environment.

    Preferred Experience: Hospital or Nursing Home
