Job Text

MillerCoors, Trenton Brewery, located in Trenton, Ohio, is seeking a Technician with advanced mechanical abilities. The Qualified candidate will work on a production line within a Team Based Union environment while rotating through all work shifts (1st to 2nd to 3rd every 5 weeks). The Candidate must have the interpersonal skill to function effectively within the assigned team in order to provide production and maintenance support which results in increased operating equipment efficiency.

 

As a Bargaining Unit employee at the Trenton Brewery, successful candidates will be a part of a production line team which requires operating production equipment.  Examples of requirements – Operating production equipment 90 % of the time, fulfilling various Star Point duties (data evaluation, document organization, information reporting/delivery, etc.), cleaning, forklift operation, participating in team meetings at the beginning of each shift etc.  

 

Must be able to effectively and efficiently operate all production equipment throughout each work shift. Must be able to implement preventative maintenance tasks as well the ability to perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities on such equipment as needed. The candidate must ensure the maximum efficiency of the operation while maintaining compliance with established safety, quality, material usage, sanitation, budget and scheduling guidelines in line with World Class Manufacturing Strategy. The successful candidate must demonstrate impeccable attendance while working in an environment of varying temperature extremes. All candidates must be able to perform frequent physical activity in the form of lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, etc.  All candidates must be capable of frequently lifting and carrying 50 pounds.   

Education/Experience:
High school Diploma required; two year advanced technical degree highly preferred.

Operator based maintenance
Maintenance based operation
Quick Changeover
Problem Solving
Formal Failure Analysis (FFA) facilitation
Computer Skills

Mechanical Drive experience

Basic repair welding skills (Stick/Tig)

Mechanical Alignment Techniques

Experience working with High Speed Packaging Equipment

Basic understanding of Pneumatics

Basic understanding of Hydraulic systems

Basic understanding of shop equipment (Lathe, Mill, Grinders)

Basic rigging

Vacuum and liquid pump knowledge

Motor/Gearbox installation and alignment

Align sprockets and sheaves

Change out pump seals

Interpret process and instrumentation diagrams

 

 

Additional Application Considerations:   

Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen test, behavioral assessments, panel interviews and take a physical as well as a written/hands-on skill assessment test. 

 

No Relocation for this position will be paid.
