Manages and coordinates the activities of assigned medical imaging supervisors and managers in assigned clinics and/or specialty areas. Manages and coordinates activities of medical imaging personnel at assigned clinics. Responsible to provide accurate diagnostic data for interpretation by the radiologist and use by medical provider in providing patient care. Accountable for preparation and management of department budgets, efficient and coordinated staffing flow among clincs or specialty areas, and for purchase of radiology equipment that is cost-effective and meets quality standards.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures reporting clinics/specialty groups maintain standards of quality assurance & patient service
- Maintain current information & knowledge of all applicable Kaiser policies, local, state & federal laws & regulations, & accreditation standards
- Provides follow-up to any QA problem encountered
- Follows-up on customer services issues for resolution/recovery, most often including direct involvement w/ members
- Monitors radiology customer services from a global perspective, eg,, service delivery model
- Initial development and ongoing implementation of ACR accreditation program standards where appropriate, oversight and reporting of QC program statistics to Compliance Manager
- In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors & principles defined by the KP Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives
- Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, & to purchasers, contracted providers & vendors
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience that includes a combination of radiologic technologist & lead or supervisory experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic
- Completion of an approved training program in radiologic technology, & currently registered as a radiologic technologist w/ the ARRT & / or ARDMS Demonstrated ability to manage multiple modalities (i.e., radiology, mammography, diagnostic medical sonographers & reception/clerical personnel)
- bachelor degree in health care administration, business management, or closely-related discipline strongly preferred
- Equivalent experience considered
- General knowledge of radiologic theory & practice, including radiation safety & applicable standards
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate teams & enhance department efficiencies
- Effective written & verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strongly prefer at least 1 year of recent management CT/MRI experience w/ARRT certification in one or both modalities
- Recent experience w/successful attainment of ACR accreditation, protocol development& implementation & strong team building skills highly preferred
