IBM Global Business Services is hiring new management consultants for its Public Sector Financial Management consulting group. We are looking for qualified candidates to join our growing Financial Management practice. IBM Management Consultants will perform a range of functions for public sector clients, including leading teams tasked with financial analysis, financial statement compilation, general ledger accounting, business process analysis & re-engineering, internal control reviews, cost management, budgeting, statistical & data analysis, and general process improvement.
We are looking for applicants with strong professional backgrounds and skills in financial analysis and problem solving. In addition, candidates should have excellent verbal and communication skills and must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Candidates should be able to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks concurrently and be adaptable to new assignments, systems, and tools.
A bachelorâ??s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or a degree with equivalent Financial Management experience is preferred.
US Citizenship is required.
It is also expected that new hires live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 mi or less) of Washington, DC. Exceptions may be considered.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years experience in Federal Financial Management
- At least 2 years experience in Knowledge of Business, Finance, Accounting and/or Financial Systems
- At least 5 years experience in Working with Public Sector Organizations
- At least 2 years experience in Execution as Team Lead or other Project Management position
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- At least 7 years experience in Federal Financial Management
- At least 5 years experience in Knowledge of Business, Finance, Accounting and/or Financial Systems
- At least 8 years experience in Working with Public Sector Organizations
- At least 5 years experience in Execution as Team Lead or other Project Management position
- At least 5 years experience in Federal Government
- At least 3 years experience in Performing audit processes
- Certified in CPA
- Certified in CGFM
- English : Fluent
