Job description
Test Consultants lead testing engagement activities as defined by the client contract. They have demonstrated leadership on medium, complex engagements, larger, less-complex engagements and phases of very large engagements.
Responsibilities include providing test management consulting to client IT and Business Executives to determine their business and technical issues related to ??testing? and recommend solutions. This role uses in-depth consulting skills and Full Life Cycle Test/Test Process Model methods to analyze their clients' issues, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate solutions. The Test Consultant also advises the clients on testing methodology and tools. Engagements supported are cross-industry and include all platforms so the Test Consultant is required to have a broad range of consulting skills and knowledge.
They are responsible for ensuring that the engagement delivers to the client expectations on time and within budget as well as delivering planned profit to IBM (cont).
Up to 100% travel required.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 1 year experience in Test Process Consulting
- At least 5 years experience in Test Consulting
- At least 1 year experience in Solution Devlopment / Proposals / RFP
- At least 2 years experience in Testing Best Practices (estimation, Test Process Model, Test methods, processes, procedures, metrics, tools, automation)
- At least 2 years experience in Test Management and Organization Models (including offshore)
- At least 2 years experience in Executive Communication
- At least 2 years experience in Manual Handheld Device Testing (Smartphones, iPhones, iPads, Android, ect)
- At least 2 years experience in Negotiation Skills
- Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Basic knowledge
