Job description

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will serve as part of a key team as a technical expert on security and government clearance for classified client. The successful candidate is responsible for the implementation and administration of all security policies, procedures, and security functions to assure compliance with applicable laws, government regulations, and Defense Intelligence Agency policies. FSO will perform standard and advanced administrative duties to ensure sustained integrity of operations. The successful candidate will be supporting the staff, IBM Program Manager, and the classified client SSO in the day-to-day operations of maintaining Alternate site security requirements.

The successful candidate must:
1. Demonstrate experience working supporting security operations in classified environment supporting government contracts
2. Demonstrate Advanced Communication skills (oral & written)
3. Experience in classified environment supporting government contracts
4 .Be able to interpret and implement security policy and guidance and provide oversight and assistance to staff
5. Be able to respond to after hour alarms or emergencies
6. Be able to juggle competing demands and prioritize work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment
7. Must have Active TS/SCI clearance and willing to take the CI polygraph

This role requires a trained professional, experienced in representing executive management with government customers, and vendors for classified client activities. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills are required. Occasional extended business hours for operational continuity may be necessary

Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 4 years experience in related experience in the field of security operations on Federal Facilities or DOD Installations.
  • At least 4 years experience in well developed knowledge of United States government rules and regulations related to security and classified information, especially the directives and guidelines of the Department of Defense
  • Certified in Must have an accrediting Security Certification IAW DOD directives or the ability to attain
  • Security clearance of Top Secret (TS/SCI) - Active
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • English: Intermediate


Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in related experience in the field of security operations on Federal Facilities or DOD Installations.
  • Security clearance of Top Secret (TS/SCI-CI Poly) - Active
  • English : Fluent
