Description

The General Surgery Group, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for the MBA Interns as part of our Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP). These positions are based in Cincinnati, OH. This internship will occur over a 10-12 week period during the Summer of 2013.

Ethicon Endo-Surgery develops and markets advanced medical devices for minimally invasive and open surgical procedures, focusing on procedure-enabling devices for the interventional diagnosis and treatment of conditions in general and bariatric surgery, as well as gastrointestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology. The Summer Internship Program provides candidates a platform to demonstrate and develop their marketing skills and leadership abilities, while giving them a strong understanding of the healthcare industry as well as the EES culture. MBA Interns will have the opportunity to own a business-critical project that can be completed within the duration of the internship. The project will require the MBA Intern to rapidly assess the business opportunity, develop relationships with cross-functional partners to develop and validate a strategy, establish a strategic direction and marketing plan, and make a strategic recommendation to senior management . This internship will also provide successful interns with an opportunity to be considered for our Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP) upon graduation.

The Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP) at Ethicon Endo-Surgery provides top MBA graduates a unique opportunity to leverage their business training and diverse experiences to develop management skills for long-term careers within the healthcare industry. During the program, candidates work within multiple functions while being challenged to make an immediate impact to the company with business-critical projects and leadership opportunities. The MLDP is an 18-month program in Marketing and other key commercial business functions. The program consists of three 6-month assignments, and is complemented by mentorship and formal training.

Qualifications


In order to be eligible for this position, the MBA candidate will be enrolled in an accredited MBA Program with graduation planned for 2014. A minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience required. Experience in Marketing, Product Management, Market Research, Sales, Business Development, Licensing and Acquisitions, Professional Medical Education, or related field preferred.

The ideal MBA candidate is one who demonstrates strategic and analytical thinking, leadership ability, understanding of key legal and financial concepts, and understanding of the medical device industry, along with solid demonstration of project management, strong communication skills (verbal, presentation and writing) and interpersonal skills, and the ability to think creatively and objectively about new opportunities.
