LifeScan is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with diabetes by developing, manufacturing and marketing a wide range of glucose monitoring systems and software for use by people with diabetes and by health care providers. The ONETOUCH® Brand of consumer and institutional products includes portable electronic meters and disposable reagent test strips to provide accurate, less painful glucose readings and the software tools to transform this information into actionable health care decisions. Each day more than 3 million people around the globe use a blood glucose meter from LifeScan.

Our business model is built around prescribed and reimbursed blood glucose meters and test strips requiring a marketing & sales approach involving Health Care Professionals, Trade Partners, Patients and Payers.

Position Summary

To drive and represent the LifeScan business in large strategic accounts (hospitals, pharmaceutical wholesalers, medical mail order companies, health care insurers) and to strengthen market insight and cultural presence in 'trade market', we have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager for the Netherlands. The KAM demonstrates expert consultative selling skills and capacities to deal with fierce purchasers. The KAM remains abreast of the competitive landscape, develops and maintains strong relationships with key leaders, and effectively sells the LifeScan solution.

This position will report directly to the Commercial Manager.

Role, Responsibilities

· Creates and executes a tactical plan to manage existing large strategic accounts to meet and exceed sales goals and market share. Includes account retention strategy and profit improvement initiatives.

· Prospects for new business opportunities within large strategic accounts and acquires profitable new business.

· Identify and build relationship with key stakeholders and decision makers within large strategic accounts. Stay abreast of their strategic priorities and business needs.

· Involve relevant functions and management at each relevant stage of the sales process to ensure successful tender outcomes.

· Conducts and implements market development and field marketing activities to strengthen awareness for LifeScan solutions

· Prioritize time and resources devoted to large strategic accounts and prospects. Make regular visits to central strategic accounts locations to gather information on needs and market conditions.

· Perform contract and tender management activities, providing key information and working within country pricing guidelines, gaining management approval as required.

· Assists the commercial manager in sales reporting, forecasts and preparation of annual business plans.

· Accurately forecasts its group of strategic accounts for business planning. Relays relevant market information to management. Identifies potential impacts to business.

· Maintains a deep understanding of competitor offerings and strategies. Create barriers for entry for competitors.

· Ensure sales activities in compliance with local and company regulation policies and procedures.

Kwalificaties

· Education : Master

· Track record of consistent commercial experience: at least 3 years of sales experience within (international) healthcare. Able to demonstrate ability to identify and seize business opportunities and effectiveness in persisting in the face of obstacles and challenges.

· Consultative selling. Use strategic questioning and active listening to define customers' strategic priorities and needs. Effectively negotiates to meet the needs of a broad range of stakeholders.

· Financial Acumen: understands general financial concepts and the financial drivers for key accounts.

· Territory management - Building and sustaining relationships with all distributors

· Influential leadership - Change management and innovation

· Aspiration for further career development within Johnson & Johnson

· Persuasive Communication skills - verbally and in writing, active listener

· Language skills: Dutch, English

· Motivated, persistent and confident self-starter
