DePuy Synthes Companies, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for 2013 Operations Co-ops to be located in Warsaw, Indiana or Raynham, MA. Co-op opportunities are available in Manufacturing Engineering, Package Engineering, and Quality Engineering.

As a Co-op in Operations, you will have the opportunity to use state of the art tools and observe world class operations in DePuy's manufacturing facility. Depending on the specific Engineering group within Operations, the individual may learn and utilize CAD tools, rapid prototyping technologies, and industry testing methodologies. The Co-op will work with cross-functional product development teams and alongside experienced engineers to contribute to operation solutions. The individual may work on specific product and/or support teams to design test fixtures and prototypes as well as perform testing, experimentation, and validation to support product design. The individual will may maintain processes and programs to support improvements to product quality, reduce costs and improve employee safety. The Co-op may assist in programming and processing new or existing products on laser etch and manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications


Candidate must be enrolled (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college/university during the Spring (January - May), Summer (May/June - August) or Fall (August - December) 2013 Co-op session. Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Packaging Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related Engineering field. Candidate must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the 2013 Co-op session. Availability to work a minimum of three alternating semester rotations is required (i.e. Spring 2013, Fall 2013, and Summer 2014). Only students that have completed their freshman year or above will be considered. A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities are desired.

This position may be located in Warsaw, Indiana or Raynham, MA. Students must be able to provide their own transportation to this location. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
