To develop, direct and manage Data and analytical resources to meet the requirements of present and future research at Center for Health Research Northwest. This includes oversight of the development of the Virtual Data Warehouse and Data Warehouse. To develop and direct resources for research in the Coordinating Center at the Center for Health Research Northwest.

Essential Functions:
- Work closely with The Associate Director for Biostatistics, the Biostat Core, the CIO, and other senior investigators and investigators to identify and address all CHRNW data and analytical needs.
- Oversee all staffing issues related to data and analytical services ensuring appropriate skills for assigned work and sustained staffing model for research projects and the Center.
- Optimize the quantity and quality of project data and analysis by directing analyst personnel resources, includes hiring, firing, supervision, and evaluation of senior analysts, analysts, assistants, technicians, clerks.
- Direct activities of the CHRNW Coordinating Center to enhance research projects that utilize Coordinating Center functions.
- Direct activities of the Data Warehouse and Virtual Data Warehouse to optimize data integrity and availability for research projects.
- Work in support of the Associate Director for Biostatistics to develop and implement data, statistical, and analytical best practices across analytical staff.
- Define and develop performance standards and trainings for all analytical staff.
- Coordinate the use of analytical and warehouse tools and best practices across TCHR.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in data analysis with large, complex datasets.
- Three (3) years of supervisory or large scientific project management experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in health research with a focus on data coordination, data warehousing or data analysis.
- Experience using mainframe and PCs for data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in scientific research-related field or the equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of research design and methodology.
- Working knowledge of database and statistical tools.
- Working knowledge of the principles of data warehousing.
- Understanding of social science research methodology.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and analytic skills.
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and project management skills.
- Working knowledge of WORD, EXCEL.
- Skills in conflict resolution and problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in data analysis with large, complex datasets preferred.
- Five (5) years of supervisory or large project management experience preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in health research with a focus on data coordination, data warehousing or data analysis preferred.
- Experience using both mini/mainframe and PCs for data analysis preferred.
- Master's degree in research-related field preferred.
- Graduate course in statistics and research methods preferred.
- Knowledge of research design and methodology preferred.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data integrity preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of health research preferred.

Salary range: $51.28 - $72.46
