The DCQS Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and finalizing projects on time and within budget. All projects will align with the Kaiser Permanente - Georgia regional strategy and annual priorities. The PM must possess sound experience in monitoring, tracking progress, developing and reviewing project plans, proactive issues and escalations, cross team coordination and work prioritization. Basic analytics and reporting skills are required, as is knowledge of and experience with Care Delivery IT systems.
Essential Functions:
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with other PMs, project Sponsor(s) and key stakeholders.
- Develop project plans and associated communication documents.
- Direct and manage project development from the beginning to end of project lifecycle, including estimating and engaging the resources needed to achieve project goals.
- May draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, issues and risks; develop and disseminate progress reports and other required documentation as needed.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify creep and develop contingency plan.
- Escalate unresolved issues and risks to project Sponsor(s).
- Develop or maintain dashboards, scorecards and reports to drive improvements in quality performance.
- May manage key aspects of Care Delivery systems, such as CarePOINT, to assist clinical and operations teams in improving patient outcomes.
- Develop process diagrams, as needed, when managing performance improvement projects.
- May coach, mentor and motivate project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Build, develop and grow relationships with key Kaiser Permanente departments and stakeholders vital to the success of the project.
- Continually keep abreast of, and utilize best practices for managing projects.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university / college in Economics, Math, Finance, Healthcare, Business or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 3 years Project Management experience and/or 3+ years managing projects in a Healthcare or Medical Office setting.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Care Delivery/IT systems.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio) to develop status reports, project plans, presentations and process maps.
- Basic analytical skills and reporting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, organized and results oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
