IBM Global Business Services is hiring new management consultants for its Public Sector Financial Management consulting group. We are looking for qualified candidates to join our growing Financial Management practice. IBM Management Consultants will perform a range of functions for public sector clients.
We are looking for applicants with strong professional backgrounds and skills in Government Accounting and Financial Transactions. Applicants should have experience with United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), U.S. Government charts of accounts, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Treasury Transaction Library, and SAP systems. In addition, candidates should have excellent verbal and communication skills and must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Candidates should be able to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks concurrently and be adaptable to new assignments, systems, and tools.
A bachelorâ??s degree in Accounting or Finance and a US Citizenship is required.
DoD Secret Clearance is preferred.
It is also expected that new hires live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 mi or less) of Washington, DC. Exceptions may be considered.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years experience in Federal Financial Management
- At least 2 years experience in United States Standard Ledger (USSGL)
- Security clearance of Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
- Readiness to travel Up to 3 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- At least 7 years experience in Federal Financial Management
- At least 5 years experience in United States Standard Ledger (USSGL)
- At least 1 year experience in General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)
- At least 1 year experience in SAP systems
- At least 5 years experience in Federal Government
- Certified in CPA
- Security clearance of Secret - Active
- English : Fluent
