GENERAL SUMMARY
Coventry Health Care of Florida is seeking a Medicare Operations Manager. The ideal Candidate will manage assigned products (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers’ Compensation, Individual) to meet customers’ needs and organizational goals. Assists with the development of new products as necessary. Develops product marketing strategies, including internal training processes and external marketing materials.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages products including the development of product operating procedures, product documentation, and training. May pilot new products with clients, including the transition to operations after implementation.
- Manage Medicare Expansion
- Must have a strong knowledge of CMS regulations
- Must have project management experience
- Must have a great understanding of STARS/HEDIS
- May manage the print and/or multi-media functions including, but not limited to, monitoring inventories, serving as liaison between the company and vendors, overseeing the appropriateness, accuracy and consistency of all materials and ensuring all materials comply with legal requirements and company standards.
- May assist account management to manage customer retention by designing and implementing products that meet customers’ needs and organizational goals.
- Leads cross-functional teams ensuring successful product development, implementation, and modifications, as needed.
- Conducts market research and competitive analysis. Assesses market needs, operational capabilities, financial implications, and product performance.
- Measures and assesses products against established objectives and makes recommendations on product continuation, modification, and withdrawal.
- Provides sales support, as needed, with client presentations, serving as product expert.
- In coordination with the marketing department, develops product marketing materials.
- Partners with various departments to capitalize and secure profitable revenue opportunities.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Must have a strong knowledge of CMS regulations

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Significant experience (usually 5-7 years) in product management within the health care industry with management responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communications skills.
