GENERAL SUMMARY


Consults with business leaders and Human Resources to assess and identify training needs and interventions for corporate-wide learning initiatives. Designs and evaluates programs to ensure the ongoing improvement of staff and to support employee development and team/organizational effectiveness.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


- Designs, develops, and implements assigned training curricula and learning programs in both instructor-led and web-based formats. Creates and manages the project plan for implementing or enhancing assigned learning and development programs including the project scope, timeline, resources, and implementation.
- Delivers and facilitates training programs in both instructor-led and web-based formats to support ongoing improvement of staff, including programs outside of assigned curricula to support team members and shifting business needs. Delivers customized training and team/organizational effectiveness solutions based on business requests.
- Develops tools to measure effectiveness and needs assessment methodology. Conducts ongoing evaluations of both participants and organizational effectiveness to ensure programs meet organizational needs. Recommends changes or enhancements to overall training methodologies and/or curriculum.
- Conducts group or individual consulting with strategic business partners, including, but not limited to, plan development, facilitation, analysis, and results.
- May provide leadership and mentoring to junior level trainers.
- Travel (25%) may be required.
- Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS


- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (3-5 years) experience developing and conducting corporate training programs on a variety of subjects such as product training and sales training.
- Previous Corporate or Business training with soft skills is preferred.
- Previous technical training with databases or company's systems is preferred.
- Previous experience conducting needs assessments.
- Previous experience in curriculum development and designing training that meets the needs of the adult learner.
- In-depth knowledge of leadership and management theories.
- Demonstrated consulting skills with an emphasis on negotiation and influencing.
- Outstanding facilitation, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to use standard software packages (i.e., Word, Power Point, Excel, Access).
- Experience with MS Live Meeting is preferred. 
- Previous experience using Adobe Flash or other eLearning technologies preferred.
