As a student employee (Coop) in Information Technology (IT), you will be involved with various projects within the organization. You will work within a group in IT that supports a functional area of the business Specific projects assigned will be determined on individual education and experience level.
Candidates apply for one overall IT position that makes him/her eligible for specific department opportunities. Coop positions are for approximately 5-6 months full time. Position located in various locations in US.
These positions involve a range of Information Technology assignments including e-business, project leadership, applications development, and infrastructure projects, etc. Projects involve close partnership with other functions within the business. A Coop should expect to own the following roles and responsibilities: Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, work towards goals and objectives assigned by experience owner (manager), or analyze business processes for reengineering opportunities. Also, interact with & support business partners, participate in projects that directly impact business value.
A Coop may also have these additional opportunities as they relate to a project or team: process Excellence (Six Sigma), regional/Global Teammates Cross-Functional Team Opportunity, or customer Exposure
The Coops will have the ability to take part in team events with other Coops and Interns and will have the ability to apply for the ITLDP (Information Technology Leadership Development Program) for full time employment upon graduation.
Positions may be in one of the following Sectors: Consumer, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Device & Diagnostics, or Corporate. Majority of positions are located in Fort Washington PA, New Brunswick NJ, Skillman NJ, and Morris Plains, NJ. Positions may also be located in California, as well as other states. Co-ops will be responsible for their own transportation to the work site and most areas do not have public transportation available.
Qualifications
Candidate must be in pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, preferably in the field of Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent major.
Sophomore level and above preferred.
Candidate must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
Minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0 is required
