Description

Role Overview:

Reporting to the DePuy Strategic Sourcing Manager- the Sourcing Specialist for CNS (Codman Neuro Sciences) and Obtech will support the procurement group to contemporary best practices, sourcing processes and delivery of results to meet & exceed the DePuy Franchise Sourcing OGSM's. He/She will execute on DePuy's Procurement strategy and provide overall coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practice and that will leverage across the Le Locle campus.

He/She will be a member on the DePuy WW Sourcing team and will be expected to provide a practical and intellectual understanding of the global DePuy & MD&D industry as well as having responsibilities for cost/quality/service/Supplier Enabled Innovation and Supplier Diversity, and take up escalations from purchasing on insufficient supplier performance.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for material and process selection for purchases, assist in locating and selecting suppliers per Category / Advanced Sourcing strategies, negotiate prices

· Coordinate and lead business reviews with suppliers, administer contracts for suppliers, develop strategic suppliers, develop and improve large spend category strategies and major business processes such as business continuity and supplier selection to deliver annual improvements in total cost, quality and service, and support sites as needed

· Intervene on request of the franchise stakeholders on any supplier performance issue

· Be the procurement SPOC for NPI projects for CNS and Obtech and be the link between R&D/engineering and the supplier

· Lead projects of product transfers between suppliers in order to obtain cost savings, and secure the continuity of supplies

· Communicate, monitor, and aggressively manage compliance with the sourcing strategy or business process

· Partner with the Category functions to ensure alignment to meet and exceed goals

· Establish close working relationships with other functions, (e.g. Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, Finance, Marketing and Quality) to ensure full understanding and support of strategic sourcing perspective to key processes and address technical needs and regulatory requirements

· Establish proactive issue communication to the Make function, manage supplier partnerships & contribute positively to the efficiency of Supply Chain

· Ensure alignment to the strategic direction provided by the Source Leadership Team

· Track and manage performance of suppliers and ensure that performance issues are quickly addressed

· Partner with Supplier Quality to ensure alignment on supplier management processes

· Upgrade supplier skills (ship-to-stock, emerging technologies, etc.)

· Assist in managing supplier capabilities including but not limited to capacity planning, tooling and resource investments including inventory management

· Develop an expertise in the business needs and capabilities for major spend categories or key business processes. Keep up with supply market trends, supplier economics, and best practice sourcing

· Ensure training on and compliance with relevant company procedures

Exigences

· Minimum of 4 - 6 years relevant experience in a logistics/supply chain role within a manufacturing environment

· Minimum of 3 years procurement/sourcing experience preferred

· Proven track record of leading highly complex projects

· Proven ability to influence/collaborate required

· Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills required

· Experience in Operations, Logistics, Planning, and Forecasting

· Analytical-absorb information & solve complex problems quickly

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
