Description

Role Overview:

Global management for master data quality processes for MD&D sector supply chain (master data shared by the following process areas: Plan, Source, Make, Quality, Inventory/Interco, Cost Accounting).

The Supply Chain Master Data Manager leads activities delivering improvements to, and sustenance of, the quality of the master data used in the Crossroads SAP and related legacy systems such as APO, MDM, labeling, OTC, MES, Lynx/Apollo, and others. He/She leads the design, development and delivery of enhancements to the Crossroads SAP platform, in conjunction with the MD&D Business Systems Support team, and the Back to Basics project team; support governance process for master data requests. He/She leads projects or sub-projects to deliver bundles of deliverables for master data work streams (data structure design/model, data maintenance business process design, master data module test planning/ coordination/ supervision). He/She works with the local master data and business process leaders, and global master data teams, to harmonize local practices to global J&J business process and data standards (change management) - GS1, UDI, HTC, EHS, ISO, and other industry standards included.

The Supply Chain Master Data Manager acts as Subject Matter Expert to the sector on Master Data Quality Management, offering best practice advice, and resolution of master data quality issues, in terms of organization, processes and tools. He/She schedules and supervises master data analysts.

Responsibilities:

· Act as SAP Master Data Process Custodian for the legacy Crossroads user community

· Facilitate alignment of key business process requirements through the implementation/adaption of the SAP standard template design

· Ensure continued alignment of Crossroads template with Back to Basics template design

· Drive global MD&D business process standardization alignment/adoption

· Identify changes for incorporation into template, based on best practices from industry benchmarks

· Identify changes for incorporation into template, based on evaluation of requests from the business

· Understand and evaluate individual site needs and ensure they are satisfied through the global standard model or through process change or mitigations

· Actively demonstrate the application of the process model to satisfy local business needs

· Act as change champion to ensure process adoption

· Ensure documentation meets current CSV standards

· Ensure functional area testing preparedness and execution

· Prepare string, system, business simulation and user acceptance test scripts for business process areas in master data scope; schedule tests and ensure remediation follow-up

· Supervise localization of training materials and local procedures

· Ensure delivery of "Train the Trainer" to designated franchise master data representatives

· Ensure global procedures for Crossroads master data maintenance and quality governance are maintained

· Design master data roles and responsibilities for Crossroads security and master data quality controls

· Assists master data teams with problem resolution, issue management, etc.

· Design data quality scorecards and quality improvement processes

· Run periodic master data quality assessment and feedback sessions

· Ensure efficient execution of master data change requests; present business case and proposed solution designs at DRB, and/or coach analysts to present at DRB

· Calculate business cases for Business Systems Governance prioritization process

· Ensure changes to master data processes are coordinated with other process owners, and backward integrated to legacy systems; arrange and supervise regression testing

· Identify, schedule and drive team master data deliverables, including resource allocations and analyst priorities

· Develop project charters and project plans for master data projects (timelines, resource estimates); integrate master data work streams into larger project plans as needed

· Drive process alignment and change acceptance with the site master data and business process leaders

· Ensure knowledge transfer among master data SME's, Power Users and consultants

· Develop master data talent and capabilities in self and team; drive to gold standard in data quality management

Exigences

· BA or BS required. Business, Logistics, Engineering or related field desired, MBA/advanced degree a plus

· Professional Certification (e.g., IAIDQ, C.P.M., SCOR, APICS, etc.) desirable

· Six Sigma Black/Green Belt desirable

· 5+ years of experience in master data management for supply chain planning, manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics or finance, as an 'expert leader', senior analyst or supervisor of a master data operation

· Expert knowledge of SAP material master, and competency in SAP finance, planning, source, location, customer, and vendor master data

· Significant support, analysis, design and/or project management role(s) in ERP and/or planning system implementations; at least one large-scale multi-functional SAP project, in a GxP environment in the life sciences industry

· Experience working in an FDA regulated environment with competence in Computer Systems Validation as in 21CFR Part 11, with most experience in business process design validation

· Demonstrated project management skills, with ability to manage multiple simultaneous small projects

· Experience working with multiple franchises and sectors within J&J is a plus

· Strong knowledge of the role of master data quality in driving quality of business process execution in supply chain processes;

· Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies; knowledge of SCOR process and Six Sigma process improvement techniques a plus

· Demonstrated ability to communicate new ideas and concepts, build user community understanding of master data quality processes, and develop master data team competencies

· Strong analytical skills

· Strong communication skills

· Strong written, oral, and presentation skills required

· Experience authoring functional specifications and translating those requirements to the technical team for development or configuration

· Experience developing test and remediation plans

· Experience with risk assessment

· Experience with managing support request and issue escalation/resolution processes

· Knowledge of metric driven processes, KPI reporting, and continuous process improvement, as applied to data quality management

· Demonstrated ability to effectively work remotely with business partners, in a highly matrixed environment across the globe

· Proven ability to work effectively across cultures

· Proven ability to influence/collaborate to get to results
